Welcome to IdeaSnap (the "Service," "App," "we," "us," or "our"). We take your privacy and data security seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, transmit, store, and protect your information. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Voluntarily Provide

When you use IdeaSnap to capture content, you may actively enter or provide:

  • Text notes
  • Voice recordings and their transcribed text
  • To-do items and schedule information
  • Text content submitted for AI analysis or generation

The above content is stored locally on your device by default, or in your iCloud account if you enable sync.

1.2 Usage Data (Anonymous Technical Information)

When you use the Service, we may automatically collect certain anonymous technical information, including:

  • Device model
  • Operating system version
  • App version
  • Feature usage information
  • Crash logs and diagnostic information

This data does not include personally identifiable information and is used only to improve product experience and stability.

2. AI Features and Third-Party Services (Important)

To provide smart organization, speech-to-text, automatic generation, and analysis features, the Service integrates third-party AI services. Data will be transmitted only when you actively use the relevant feature and explicitly consent to it.

2.1 Third-Party Service Providers

The App may use the following AI service providers:

  • Doubao AI, provided by Beijing ByteDance Technology Co., Ltd.
  • GPT services, provided by OpenAI, L.L.C.
  • Tongyi Qianwen, provided by Alibaba Cloud Computing Co., Ltd.

These services are used solely as technical processing tools to fulfill intelligent features initiated by you.

2.2 Types of Data That May Be Transmitted

When you actively use AI features, the following data may be transmitted to the relevant service provider over encrypted connections (HTTPS):

  • Text content you actively input
  • Voice audio files you record
  • Transcribed text generated from your voice input
  • Content you submit for summarization, generation, or analysis
  • Contextual text related to the current task, such as note paragraphs

We do not proactively transmit:

  • Your contacts
  • Your location information
  • Your photo library contents, unless you explicitly choose them
  • Your device unique identifiers
  • Your Apple ID
  • Other personal information unrelated to the current feature

2.3 Limits on Data Use

Data transmitted through AI features is used only to complete feature requests you actively initiate, including:

  • Speech-to-text processing
  • Text generation or optimization
  • Automatic generation of to-dos or schedules
  • Intelligent categorization suggestions

We expressly state that we do not:

  • Use user data for advertising delivery
  • Create user profiles
  • Sell or rent user data
  • Use user data for marketing purposes
  • Use user data to train or improve third-party AI models

2.4 User Authorization

Before you use AI features for the first time, the App will clearly explain through an in-app prompt:

  • What data will be sent
  • Which third-party companies will receive the data
  • The specific purpose of the data use

Relevant data will be sent only after you tap "Agree."

You may:

  • Decline to use AI features
  • Turn off AI features in Settings at any time
  • Delete related content

If you do not authorize the feature, your data will not be sent to any third-party AI service.

2.5 Data Protection and Compliance Commitment

We work only with data processors that commit to protection standards no lower than those described in this policy. Third-party service providers protect data in accordance with their own privacy policies and process data only to the extent necessary to complete your request. We require all AI partners to comply with applicable data protection laws and regulations and to adopt reasonable security measures.

3. Other Third-Party Services

In addition to AI services, the App may use:

  • Apple iCloud, provided by Apple Inc., for optional data synchronization
  • Apple Push Notification Service
  • Apple crash reporting and diagnostic systems

These services are subject to Apple's privacy policy.

4. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Modify or delete content you create
  • Turn off AI features
  • Delete the App to clear local data
  • Manage system permissions such as microphone and notifications

5. Policy Updates

If this Privacy Policy changes materially, we will update the content through an in-app notice.
